Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9: Everything you wanted to know about the dance reality show

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is back with its season 9 and popular faces as the contestants. The show has the Dishoom star Jacqueline Fernandez joining Karan Johar and Ganesh Hegde on the judge panel. On Saturday (July 30) the show landed on Colors. The first episode itself, has Jacqueline’s oomph and hotness on the stage with her performance on a mash up of her hit numbers- ‘Chittiyan Kalaiyaan’ and ‘Marjawa’. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, this time, neither has Shahid Kapoor nor Madhuri Dixit-Nene are part of the show but has turned out to be a TV debut for actress Jacqueline. The first episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 began with a bang. Jacqueline was seen in s white outfit as she amazed all with her moves on the dance floor. She was also seen performing on her latest release Dishoom’s song ‘Sau Tarah Ke’. Chutki aka Gaurav Gera added the fun touch to the show well, so did host Manish Paul who had shot for Jhalak 9 in the midst of an injury. The celebs and their choreographers for the season are: Shakti Arora and Suchitra Sawant; Shantanu Maheshwari and Alisha Singh; Arjun Bijlani and Bhawna Khanduja; Karishma Tanna and Rajit Dev; Helly Shah and Jai Kumar Nair; Surveen Chawla and Sanam Johar; Nora Fatehi and Cornel Rodrigues The episode began with the terrific trio of Arjun Bijlani, Sidhant Gupta and Karishma Tanna with their water and fire act, setting the tone for the night. Dynamic yet unusual duo of Salman Yusuf Khan and Chutki (Gaurav Gera) performed a salsa. Helly Shah then mesmerised all with her performance. Internet sensations Poonam & Priyanka known for their Bharatanatyam / Hip Hop fusion are also a part of the show. Perfect blend of style, grace and swag is what Shakti Arora, Shantanu Maheswari and Nora Fatehi served for their audiences.
